A Long-Awaited Celebration
Technically, the VICO turned 20 in September of 2021…but COVID prevented us from marking the occasion with a concert at the time. We are so excited to finally be able to announce our special Anniversary Concert, taking place on October 1st, 2022 at the Norman & Annette Rothstein Theatre in Vancouver.
We are pleased to be sharing this celebration with a fantastic line-up of longtime friends and colleagues, including Laudate Singers (with conductor Lars Kaario), soloists Amy Stephen and Qiu Xia He, Ukrainian ensemble Zeellia, and other special guests still to be announced!
On the bill: a new composition by the VICO’s founding artistic director Moshe Denburg, current AD Mark Armanini‘s intercultural arrangement of George Harrison’s Within You Without You, and more.
Help Make the Music Happen
As part of our anniversary celebrations, we’ve also launched a fundraising campaign; proceeds will help us launch the VICO’s next 20 years from a strong and positive place!
